US President Donald Trump signed the Tylor Force Act on Friday, cutting funding to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if it continues to pay the salaries of prisoners, freed prisoners and the families of those killed by Israel, Arab48 reported.

Trump singed the act two days after it was approved by Congress.

American media reported that the Tylor Force Act, which was named after a former US soldier killed in Israel, was included in a legislative package which comprised of about $4 billion in aid to Israel.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the law and reiterated that the Palestinian prisoners and freed prisoners along with the families of martyrs killed by Israel would continue receiving their salaries.

The US should have called for “ending the occupation and suffering of the Palestinian people”, PA spokesman Yousef Al-Mahmoud added.
