Birzeit University holds 37th graduation ceremony

Birzeit University in the occupied West Bank held its 37th graduation ceremony at the weekend; the programme of events was spread over two days. Post-graduate students were honoured on Saturday, along with graduates in the faculties of engineering, science, law and public administration. Melon harvest begins in GazaThe Ministry of Agriculture in the Gaza Strip has launched the opening of the melon harvest season for 2012. At a ceremony conducted in the southern district of Rafah, it was confirmed that self-sufficiency targets set by the government have been attained.
