Israeli soldiers harass Palestinian children in Hebron

Israeli occupation forces appeared in two videos, believed to be captured on Friday, harassing Palestinian children in Hebron, whilst Israeli settlers laughed and took photos of them.

In one of the videos an Israeli soldier stole the children’s football while they were playing in one of Hebron’s alleyways.

One of the soldiers started playing with the ball, while the Palestinian children begged him to give the ball back. Meanwhile, Israeli settlers were laughing and taking photographs on their mobile phones.

In the other video one of the Israeli soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian child, who looked about 10 years old. He dragged him to a nearby room setup for a military checkpoint.

A passer-by asked him why he was kidnapped, he replied: “I do not know.” Israeli settlers were close to the scene and stood beside the soldiers and made fun of the detained child.

The Israeli soldiers claim that the child had thrown stones at them, while a voice of an older man was heard in the background saying that the child is too young to throw stones.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation detained four Palestinian children from Hebron last Saturday. They hit the children with the backs of their guns and their shoes.

Last week CCTV captured Israeli soldiers shooting two peaceful Palestinians during a demonstration marking the 66th anniversary of the Nakba. The US and the UN called for immediate investigations into those killings, but the Israeli army claimed the footage was forged.
