Settler runs over Palestinian child

July 19, 2016 at 12:32 pm

A Jewish settler ran over a Palestinian child from the town of Yatta in Hebron on Monday morning and then fled from the scene.

The Coordinator of the National Committee against Settlements in Yatta Rateb El-Jabour said that 11-year-old Hamza Mahmoud Mohammed Rabei was run over by a vehicle driven by a settler while crossing the main road near the area of Arvaih.

In an interview with Quds Press, Jabour said that the settler fled the scene. The child was taken to hospital where his injuries were described as moderate.

Jabour explained that the Palestinian citizens in the Masafer Yatta area take the bypass road, which is crossed by settlers’ vehicles, placing them at risk.
