Palestinian resistance groups to take part in Fatah conference

Palestinian resistance groups announced on Sunday that they will participate in Fatah’s Seventh Conference due to be held in Ramallah this week, QudsNet has reported. Spokesmen for both Hamas and Islamic Jihad said that they had received official invitations from the organisers.

“Hamas will send a delegation from the occupied West Bank,” said Fawzi Barhoum in a brief statement. Likewise, those representing Islamic Jihad, revealed Daud Shehab, will also come from the West Bank.

The Fatah conference will be held on Tuesday, 29 November. A wide range of Palestinian, Arab and international officials have been invited and confirmed that they will attend. On the agenda will be the process to choose 1,400 new members of Fatah’s Central Committee and Revolutionary Council.
