Palestinian prisoner boycotts Israeli military courts

Palestinian prisoner Mohamed Al-Najjar, 32, has announced his boycott of the Israeli military courts after they issued a new administrative detention order against him, Quds Press reported yesterday. According to a statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC), Al-Najjar, from the Hebron refugee camp of Al-Fawwar, announced his boycott after they had issued a new six-month administrative detention order against him. Israeli forces arrested Al-Najjar in November last year after assaulting and beating him, the PPC statement said. Al-Najjar, who is the head of the Youth Gathering in Support for Palestinian Prisoners, has spent a total of six years inside Israeli jails, including about half of them under administrative detention.
