Pakistan will remain neutral regarding the current political standoff between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, said yesterday.
According to the Express Tribune newspaper, during an address at the Pakistani Senate’s Foreign Affairs Committee Sartaj said: “Pakistan does not want to interfere in other countries’ matters and will stick to its non-partisan policy on the Middle East issue.”
His statements came three days after a visit made by Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain to Saudi Arabia, where he met with Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz.
