Zeidan was abducted nine days ago from the Victoria hotel in Tripoli by members of Haitham Tajouri’s forces and prevented from speaking to anyone, including his family, until his release.

Presidency Council head Fayez Al-Sarraj told a delegation from the south of the country yesterday that he had been working to free Zeidan.
