According to the report by Ma’an News Agency, two other Palestinians were also shot with rubber-coated metal bullets, including a man in his 60s. Others suffered from tear gas inhalation.

The invading Israeli forces entered the camp through its main entrance, with their deployment provoking unarmed resistance from camp youth.

Israeli occupation forces conducting raids typically respond to stone-throwing by local civilians with tear gas, rubber-coated metal bullets, or even live ammunition.

Shuafat refugee camp is located inside Israel’s municipal boundaries for Jerusalem, which includes territory illegally annexed after 1967. However, it is also hemmed in by Israel’s Separation Wall, and residents are compelled to access the rest of the city through a military checkpoint.
