Two high-ranking Yemeni ministers have resigned in the past two days without offering an explanation.
Minister of State Salah Al-Sayadi announced his resignation today from the Saudi capital Riyadh, a day after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service and Insurance Abdulaziz Al-Jabari said he was stepping down.
In a statement posted on his personal Facebook account, Al-Sayadi said: “I declare my definitive resignation from the government for reasons I will explain later.”
Earlier this month, in a leaflet on his Facebook page, Al-Sayadi called on all Yemenis to come out and demonstrate in order to bring President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to Yemen.

An official source who wished to remain anonymous said Al-Jabari announced his resignation at a meeting in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by Yemeni Vice President Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar and Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghar, who tried to convince Al-Jabari to change his mind, the source said.
Al-Jabari also announced his resignation on Yemeni television but said he would remain an advisor to Hadi.
