Administrative detainee Moataz Mahmoud Abu Zneid died of medical negligence in Israeli prisons last night, the Palestinian Information Centre reported. Thirty-five-year-old Abu Zneid was being held in Ramon prison when his health seriously deteriorated. However, the prison administration deliberately delayed transferring him to the hospital until he fell into a coma. He was transferred to Soroka Hospital on 6 January and pronounced dead last night. Abu Zneid, detained in June 2023, was not suffering from any health problems before his detention. Since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023, 55 Palestinian prisoners have died in Israeli jails.
