The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Tuesday evening that the number of Palestinian journalists killed by Israeli army fire has risen to 257 since the beginning of the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip in October 2023. In a statement, the office said the latest figure followed confirmation of the death of journalist Mahmoud Wadi, a photographer who worked for several local and international media outlets.
