Egypt and Turkey sign framework military agreement in Cairo
Egypt and Turkey signed a military cooperation agreement in Cairo on Wednesday, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The signing took place after talks between the two leaders in the Egyptian capital, during which several cooperation agreements were concluded. The most prominent was described as a “framework military agreement” between the two governments. The agreement was signed by Egypt’s Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Abdel Meguid Saqr, and Turkey’s Minister of Defence, Yaşar Güler.
