National Demonstration for Palestine

May 11 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

A mass protest is being planned in London on 11 May to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.

The Palestinian Forum in Britain along with a number of solidarity organisations has been encouraging people to come out in support of Palestinians around the world and those taking part in the Great March of Return in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Thousands are expected to join the march which is also a stand against the US’ planned peace plan dubbed the “deal of the century”

President of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, Hafez Al-Karmi, said that a large number of grass-roots organisations, human rights and solidarity groups, as well as trade unions will participate in organising the march and give speeches on the day.

Al-Karmi stressed that the march emphasises the Palestinians’ steadfastness and commitment to their right to return to the homes from which  they were forced out during the 1948 Nakba which led to the creation of the occupation state of Israel. It also sends a message to all that the Palestinian people cannot abandon their land and homeland and they reject all projects and plans. Which targets their national rights, especially the right of return.
