Egyptian security forces storm Al-Aqsa TV in Cairo

On Thursday, Egyptian security forces simultaneously stormed the offices of several foreign media in Cairo, including Al-Jazeera and the Palestinian Al-Aqsa TV.

Witnesses said that security forces confiscated cameras and other equipment, as well as damaged the remaining properties.

The interim coup government has ordered the Egyptian security forces to target the offices and correspondents of local and foreign media, including religious TV channels, because the media has been critical of the military coup.

The Egyptian Public Prosecutor is accusing mass media of inciting violence because it is reporting the ongoing civil demonstrations of anti-coup protesters.

While many journalists have been detained, information has not yet emerged about their whereabouts and detention conditions.
