UAE promises fuel to Egypt for 2013 and 2014

The United Arab Emirates has pledged to supply fuel and consumers goods throughout 2013 and 2014 to help the ailing Egyptian economy.

The announcement was made by Egypt’s Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi on Monday during a meeting of the interim government’s Economic Committee.

The Gulf state is also expected to fund the construction of twenty-five new wheat silos and the construction of ten health units and two production lines for serums and vaccines. The committee meeting followed the visit of a delegation from the UAE headed by Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
