Israelis humiliate prisoners and worshippers

Photos

Israeli security officers have humiliated Palestinian prisoners and worshippers in separate incidents.

Prison officials entered cells in the Negev Prison at dawn on Friday and smashed prisoners’ personal belongings. A number of casualties were reported. Such treatment of prisoners is almost routine in Israeli jails, alleges the Palestinian Prisoners’ Forum.

In occupied Jerusalem, meanwhile, soldiers humiliated Palestinian worshippers heading for Al-Aqsa Mosque to attend the last Friday prayer of Ramadan. Palestinians were harassed at checkpoints and nobody from the West Bank was allowed to enter Jerusalem to take part in the prayer.
