Chairman of the Higher Security Directorate in Birak Al-Shate’ district Al-Mahdy Abdel Nasr has been assassinated by unidentified militants in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Friday, security sources said.
The armed men killed Abdel Naser and then escaped. Investigations are still ongoing to identify culprits. The corpse has been transferred to forensic authorities, sources added.
