After eating cats and dogs.. Al Ghouta residents eat a lion due to the severity of the siege

Activists published a photo of residents of East Ghouta in Syria, which has been besieged for months by Assad’s forces, as they cut a lion to eat it after shooting it.


The Assad regime has for months been imposing a severe siege on Al Ghouta, preventing the entry of any food or medicine.

The people Al Ghouta have previously eaten cats and dogs as a result of the hunger caused by the severity of the siege.

The activists said that the lion was part of the Media Production City, known as the “Levantine village” which the rebels had recently entered.
