Death toll from barrel bombs rises to 90

The number of people killed by “barrel bombs” dropped by Syrian Army helicopters has increased to 90, it has been announced. The victims of the attacks on Aleppo include women and children, said the General Commission for the Syrian Revolution in a press statement.


A large number of residential buildings and vehicles were destroyed during the attacks, when barrels filled with explosives were dropped in the Al-Sakhoor, Ard Al-Hamraa, Tariq Al-Bab, Al-Saliheen and Al-Haidariyya areas of the city.

The initial death toll was believed to be just 18 people.
