The Israeli government is expected to vote today for the re-appointment of Avigdor Lieberman as Foreign Minister. The move follows a court decision which acquitted Lieberman of corruption charges last week. Lieberman will join a coalition government between the Likud Party and Yisrael Beiteinu Party. On Monday, all the organs of the Knesset will vote on the government’s decision to appoint Lieberman. Observers predict the Lieberman – Netanyahu’s cooperation will stabilise the government and strengthen Netanyahu’s position against the Lapid – Bennett influence.
