Truck bomb destroys bridge linking Iraq and Jordan

The explosion of a Truck bomb in Iraq on Wednesday has resulted in the collapse of a bridge linking Iraq and Jordan near the city of Rutba in the western Al-Anbar province, killing of a number of security workers and truck drivers.


A security source in Baghdad told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that four police personnel and three truck drivers were killed when a truck bomb was detonated on Wednesday at a bridge on the international highway that links Iraq and Jordan.

He added that the explosion resulted in serious damage to the bridge, leading to its collapse.
