Elderly woman dies after ambulance is detained by Israeli soldiers

An elderly Palestinian woman has died after the ambulance taking her to hospital was detained by Israeli soldiers in Hebron.

Seventy-one year old Amena Abed Rabbo’s health deteriorated rapidly due to the stress of the detention, it is believed.

The coordinator of the Commission for Youth against Settlement, Issa Amr, told local media sources that the pensioner was being taken to a hospital in Tel Rumeida in the city when the soldiers stopped the ambulance. He called her death “martyrdom” at the hands of the occupation forces.
