Dozens of protesters wounded and two detained by Israeli forces

Dozens of foreign and Palestinian activists were wounded and suffered breathing problems on Friday after being targeted by Israeli tear gas canisters during the weekly protest against the Apartheid Wall in Bal’een.

The Popular Committee Against the Wall said in a statement, “The Israeli forces fired ‘rubber’ bullets and tear gas when the protesters reached the Um al-Laimoun district near to the wall in Bal’een.”

Two foreign activists were detained by Israeli forces when they approached the illegal Jewish settlement of Itzion near to Bethlehem. No further details are available.
