Egypt to build field hospital for Syrian refugees on border with Jordan

Official Egyptian sources have announced that the government has started to send medical and humanitarian aid to Syrians suffering as a result of the revolution in their country. The aid will include a field hospital for Syrian refugees on the border with Jordan.

Amro Rushdie, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry in Cairo, said that the government is making regional and international efforts to find a political solution to stop the bloodshed in Syria. He pointed out that the Egyptian Red Crescent Society is coordinating with its Syrian counterpart to deliver aid to Syria.

The Egyptian government will provide Syrian refugees in Egypt “with access to all facilities, including regarding them as citizens in respect of medical treatment in governmental hospitals,” he added.
