Netanyahu denies link between early elections and attack on Iran

The office of Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has denied that his decision to call early parliamentary elections has any relationship with a possible military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

A statement issued by Mr Netanyahu’s office on Saturday, May 5, refuted claims made by political commentator, Amnon Abramovich, on Israel’s Channel 2 TV that there was a link between the two.

The statement affirmed that while there was no connection, Netanyahu was always concerned with the subject of Iran, even when he was out of political office.
