The Coalition of Independent Palestinian Figures has revealed that intensive correspondence is underway in an attempt to push for Palestinian national unity and ensure that the requirements of the reconciliation agreement are implemented on the ground.
In a press release on Wednesday, 22.06, the Coalition stressed on the need to proceed immediately with the implementation stage of the reconciliation agreement concluded between Fatah and Hamas about a month and a half ago and to push for an end to division within Palestinian society.
It noted that the speedy implementation of the agreement represented a “pressing need” for all Palestinians, while highlighting the additional need to create a democratic climate for the people in an attempt to alleviate to the effects of division and promote a spirit of national unity and hard work.
