Gaza celebrates mass wedding

EXCLUSIVE PICTURES

The Charitable Organization for the Relief of the Palestinian People in Gaza staged a mass wedding of 100 couples in the second phase of its project to build and support young families in the besieged territory.

The occasion brought boundless joy to the many young people, who could not afford to marry because of the combined difficulties presented by high costs, unemployment, and the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

The ceremony was conducted with the support of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), which continues to administer a significant number of relief projects in support of the Palestinian people; despite the losses suffered during the Israeli attack on the Freedom Flotilla in May 2010.
