Palestinians commemorate Land Day

EXCLUSIVE PICTURES

Palestinians organised several activities in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and the 1948 territories yesterday [30 March] to mark the 35th anniversary of Land Day. They reaffirmed their commitment to the national constants and to end the occupation of their land.

In Gaza, hundreds turned out for a mass rally which began in Salah al-Din Street and congregated a few metres from the Beit Hanoun Crossing in the north of the sector.

In his address to the rally, Dr Ahmed Bahr, the First Deputy Chairman of the Palestinian Legislative Council, confirmed the Palestinian people’s commitment to their land, their constants and their Holy places.

Bahr stressed the necessity of ending the Palestinian division and working hard towards uniting the people in Gaza and the West Bank; geographic and political unity on the basis of the national constants.
