Palestinians in the West Bank celebrate Eid ul Fitr

EXCLUSIVE PICTURES

Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank yesterday began celebrations to mark the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. Most Muslim and Arab countries also began the festivities on 30th August.

In the West Bank, families made every effort to make the occasion as enjoyable and memorable as possible; despite the on-going economic crisis which saw a significant drop in spending. The crisis saw many public sector workers receiving only half of their wages, which seriously curtailed their ability to shop for the celebrations.
