Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Sunday inaugurated the first Palestine Festival for Children at the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza city. A large number of educational institutions, kindergartens and community organizations participated in the opening ceremony.
The celebration included several exhibitions and cultural displays performed by children affirming their right to a dignified and decent life. The festival was also attended by a number of media and cultural institutions.
Minister of Education in Gaza, Mohammed Askol, said the celebration reflects the considerable effort made to build a humane and enlightened Palestinian society, despite being subject to the pain of occupation and siege.
