The head of the Islamic Resistance Movement’s political bureau is in Khartoum with a delegation of senior Hamas members. Khaled Meshaal arrived in the Sudanese capital on Wednesday 9 July with Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, Ezzat El-Rashq and Mohamed Nasr. The visit is being made following a similar trip by Jibril Rajoub of Fatah. Mr. Rajoub later announced that he had asked Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir to mediate in the reconciliation process between the two leading Palestinian factions, Hamas and Fatah.
