Israeli forces destroy Palestinian home near Umm al-Fahm

Heavily armed Israeli forces started, in the early hours of Sunday (December 20), to demolish a house belonging to a Palestinian citizen under the pretext that it had been built without a permit. The three-storey house is located in the village of Musmus, near Umm Al-Fahm, in Israel.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli police forces stormed, with bulldozers, into the village of Musmus at 2:30 am, without a warning, and without notifying the owner of the house beforehand or delivering a notice – contrary to what was usually the case in previous incidents.

Citizens attributed the timing of the demolition to the authorities’ attempt to avoid the type of popular backlash that occurred each time they started to demolish a house.
