A Hamas leader suggested that the Palestinian Authority should halt security coordination with Israel as a response to its intransigence regarding Palestinian rights.
Dr Moussa Abu Marzouk, member of Hamas’s political bureau, said that the majority of Palestinians oppose the resumption of negotiations, although the US, Israel and the Arab Ministerial Council call for resuming negotiations. He expressed his hope that the PA would join international organisations.
According to Dr Abu Marzouk, the negotiations led to nothing, even prisoners have not been released.
“Halting security cooperation is what Israel truly fears”, he added.
