Egypt anti-coup leader reveals details of officers allegedly complicit in Rabaa massacre

Former minister of investment and Mohamed Morsi’s adviser Yehia Hamed disclosed documents which list names and pictures of all officers who have been complicit in the deadly dispersal of Rabaa Al-Adawiyya and Al-Nahda Square sit-ins last August. The dispersals left thousands killed and wounded.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera on Monday, Hamed, a leading member of the Anti-Coup Alliance, said they received these documents via sources from inside the police agency. The details were derived from internal documents in the National Security Agency, formerly the State Security Apparatus.

He added that the officers who leaked the documents hope to guarantee their own security if the perpetrators of the mass killings are brought to justice.
