Israeli aircrafts strike Syrian targets in Golan Heights

Israeli air forces this morning attacked Syrian army training facility, military bases and artillery batteries that “incited and helped” carry out the roadside bombing attack that injured four Israeli soldiers on Tuesday.

A spokesman of the Israeli army wrote on Twitter: “The explosion near the Syrian border wounded four Israeli soldiers. We responded to the attack and will continue to act as necessary to defend Israel.”

Delivering a strong warning, Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon said: “Israeli warplanes bombed several targets associated with the Syrian army and defence establishment that aided and abetted yesterday’s terror attack.

“We will not tolerate any breach of our sovereignty or attacks against our soldiers and civilians.”

The minister added: “We will react with might and resolve against anyone who acts against us, no matter where and when, as we demonstrated last night. Anyone who tries to attack us will be signing their own death sentence.”
