Saudi: Al-Maliki is blaming others for his domestic failures

Saudi Arabia slammed accusations by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki that the Kingdom is supporting terrorism, describing such claims as “aggressive and irresponsible”.

The Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Abdul Aziz Khoja said, in a statement released yesterday, that the Kingdom “renewed its dismay and surprise at the aggressive and irresponsible remarks that were released by the Iraqi prime minister, in which he accused the Kingdom, falsely and slanderously, of supporting terrorism in Iraq.

“It is clear that those statements are aimed at turning the facts on their head and blaming others for the domestic failures of the Iraqi prime minister.”

On Saturday Al-Maliki said Riyadh has adopted a policy of “supporting terrorism” regionally and worldwide.
