Gunmen steal car of Morsi's family

Osama Morsi, son of the ousted president Mohamed Morsi, said that gunmen stole the family’s car after stopping his two brothers and their driver on the ring road in Maadi, Cairo Sunday.

Osama told Anadolu news agency that his brothers Amr and Abdullah were stopped in Maadi ring road by gunmen carrying automatic rifles, who threatened them and asked them to leave the car, and then stole it.

The theft took place at 8:30 pm on Sunday, Osama said. When his brothers contacted police for help, they did not receive any response.

Asked about the identity of the gunmen, Osama refused to point fingers at a specific party, but said that the theft represents the lack of security in Egypt since the coup.
