Qatari Emir donates $4 million for royal Moroccan NGO

Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin-Hamad Al-Thani has donated $4 million to a Moroccan NGO headed by the King Mohamed VI in order to support social and educational projects, masralarabia. com reported.

The NGO said Friday in a statement that the King thanked the Emir for his “generous donation” noting it would be used for projects targeting children, disabled people and young people.

Raising the slogan “let’s unite against poverty,” the NGO was established in 1999 in cooperation with other activists. It obtained advisory status for the UN Economic and Social Council.

This NGO is involved directly, and through other agent NGOs, in supporting a series of social, economic and educational projects in the country.
