PA security services protect Israeli soldiers from Palestinian protesters

Palestinian Authority (PA) security services yesterday banned Palestinian demonstrators from approaching Israeli occupation forces positioned at the settlement and military camp of Beit El in the West Bank city of Al-Beerah.

Local Palestinian sources said that the PA security services positioned barricades along the street leading to Beit El and stopped the advancement of the Palestinian youths.

The demonstrators clashed with the PA services and a number of them could be seen climbing over the barricades and reach the settlement and the military camp. They hurled stones at the Israeli soldiers, who responded with tear gas.

The areas around Beit El witnessed confrontations between angry Palestinians and Israeli soldiers, where Israeli soldiers used live bullets to shoot Palestinian protesters.
