Israeli airstrikes damage 141 schools in Gaza

At least 141 schools in the Gaza Strip have been hit by Israeli airstrikes, leading to their being partially or fully damaged, the Gaza Ministry of Education said in a statement.

Some 22 schools have been fully destroyed and will not operate in the new academic year, the statement added.

The estimated cost of repairing damages to the education sector, the ministry said, exceeds $10 million.

Furthermore, 19 civil servants working in the educational sector have been killed in the current offensive, which also killed some 2,000 Palestinian civilians and injured over 10,000.
