On anniversary of Rabaa massacre, Coptic leaders hail the army's 'resistance of terrorism'

A number of Coptic groups in Egypt described the Rabaa day, August 14, as “a black day for Coptic Christians” citing the mob attacks on churches on that day following the massacre of thousands of protesters in the Rabaa and Al-Nahda Squares last year.

According to Mina Thabet, a member of the Egyptian Minorities Alliance, August 14, 0213, witnessed the partial or full destruction of 64 churches across Egypt, describing the Rabaa day as “a black day for Coptics” and a day which “exposed the Muslim Brotherhood”.

President of the Protestant Community of Egypt, Safwat Al-Bayadi, said in press statements: “The Egyptian people will not forget the resistance by the army and police of terrorism on August 14.”
