Qatar and Sudan sign military agreement

Qatar and Sudan signed a memorandum related to military cooperation between the two countries earlier today. The agreement was signed by Qatar’s Minister of Defence General Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah and Sudanese Defence Minister General Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, who is currently visiting Qatar.

Hussein told the Qatar News Agency (QNA) today that the signing of the memorandum was a significant step towards strengthening the existing relations between Doha and Khartoum, and the two armed forces in particular. He said the agreement was drafted in the context of extending fraternal relations and expressed Qatar’s support for Sudan.

The Sudanese minister arrived in Doha last night and was received by his Qatari counterpart.
