Egyptian food companies yesterday increased food prices by 15 per cent due to the strength of the dollar.

Deputy Head of the Chamber of Food Industries Ibrahim Al-Imbabi said that the increasing strength of the dollar has caused an expected increase in food prices by 15 per cent.

Al-Imbabi said he expects food prices to increase 15-30 per cent.
