Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi has replaced six government ministers, including Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim, and ordered the establishment of two new ministerial portfolios, the presidency said Thursday.

Magdi Abdel-Ghaffar, former head of the country’s Homeland Security Service, has replaced Mohamed Ibrahim as interior minister.

The reshuffle saw new faces in the ministries of culture, education, communications, tourism and agriculture.

The reshuffle also saw two new state portfolios created: one for population and another for technical education and training.
