The head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Khaled Meshaal yesterday met Iranian Shura Council Speaker, Ali Larijani in Doha, Qatar.
Hamas said in a statement received by Resala news site that “during the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on developments in the Palestinian cause in the light of Israeli threats to Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem as well as the ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip.”
Relations between Iran and Hamas have recently witnessed slight improvement, especially after a Hamas delegation visited Tehran and held several meetings with senior leaders there.
Unconfirmed reports suggested Meshaal is planning to visit Tehran.
