Palestinian Cultural Week opens in Algeria

Palestinian Cultural Week opened in Constantine, Algeria, on Monday as part of the event “Constantine, Capital of Arab Culture 2015”.

Algerian radio said a Palestinian delegation will present several activities and shows to reflect the Palestinian people’s struggle to free their land from the Israeli occupation. They would also showcase the rich Palestinian heritage.

A photographic exhibition entitled “The city of Jerusalem throughout history” will be held at the Mohamed-Laid Al-Khalifa cultural centre. The event was held in the presence of the advisor to Palestine’s ambassador to Algiers Haythem Amayeri.

The week-long event concludes tomorrow with a series of lectures on Palestinian and Arab women in cinema presented by Palestinian writer Asia Rayan as well as with conferences and performances by folk bands.
