Yemeni navy seizes 4 Iranian ships in Socotra

Yemeni security source yesterday announced that the Yemeni navy seized four Iranian ships which arrived at the remote island of Socotra, the Anadolu Agency reported.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the Iranian ships are still in Socotra and they had not been inspected.

Since the start of the Saudi-led coalition’s attacks on Yemen, the country’s territorial waters have fallen into the control of the alliance. However, the waters around Socotra are still under the control of the Yemeni navy.
