PA: UN report should condemn Israeli crimes

Chief Palestinian Authority (PA) negotiator Saeb Erekat said yesterday that he expected the UN fact-finding mission to condemn Israel’s crimes, Al-Quds newspaper reported.

Erekat said that the PA representative to the UN in New York Riyad Mansour and in Geneva Ibrahim Khreesha would receive the mission’s report.

He also said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claims that his army acted lawfully during its war on Gaza were just words to try to clear the speculation.

Erekat stressed that denying facts does not hide their existence.

He called on the international community to question Israel about the crimes it commits against the Palestinian people.
