The Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah Crossing again last night after opening it for four days.

According to a statement issued by the Borders and Crossings Commission in Gaza, Egyptian authorities indefinitely closed the crossing again last night.

It said that about 3,000 travellers, including those in need of medical attention, students and those with foreign residence permits and passports, left the Gaza Strip over the past four days, while 2,000 Palestinians who were stranded in Egypt returned to Gaza.

The Borders and Crossings Commission urged the Egyptian authorities to open the Rafah Crossing permanently.
